“Alice’s Dream”

Angelica Privalikhin was born in a small village in Ural Mountains, at very early age moved with her parents to Siberia to a large city called Krasnoyarsk. Here is her painting called “First Snow.”

In 1999 Angelica became a finalist in the juried regional exhibition of young artists commemorating “375 years of Krasnoyarsk”

In 2000 she received a commendation letter for an important contribution to the development of art in Siberia, given by the Artists Union of Russia

In 2001 she received diploma as a finalist at the juried regional exhibition of young artists .Krasnoyarsk, Siberia commemorating “160 years of the SberBank of Russia”

In 2002 second place for a painting called “Small Montmartre of Bitola” at the juried exhibition in Bitola, Macedonia (part of a tour of the Exhibition of the Art School Teachers)

In 2003 diploma as a teacher who taught award winning students at the 11th Annual International Art Kids Competition “Always green, always blue”, Turin, Poland

In 2004 she got a diploma as a finalist at the juried exhibition “Siberian Vernisage”

In 2005 award as a finalist of the Krasnoyarsk Art Competition

In addition to that Angelica received numerous commendations and awards for her input as a teacher of art from The Department of Culture of Krasnoyarsk, and the Art & Culture Museum of Krasnoyarsk.

In 2011 Angelica took part in the Union of Artists of Russia exhibition at the St Petersburg Academy of Fine Art. This is what the head of the Fine Art department of the Academia Yaroslav Levchenko told attending journalists about her works: “I am not only pleasantly surprised but actually astonished to see that much power in the works of Angelica Privalikhin. Her command of colors and composition shows that she is gradually becoming a major force in the Russian art.”

And this is what the art critique of the St Petersburg Times Arthur Beliaev wrote “You can’t imagine how mesmerizing is Angelica’s blend of colors. She has a hypnotizing effect on the viewers, on all of us from a chancy passerby to a seasoned collector or professional. I applaud her and will follow her carrier. She destined to become well known artist not only in Russia but abroad as well and her place will be in major museums and important art collections.”

The Union of ARTS of Russia organized Angelica’s show in Beijing, China (2011). Twenty of her works were exhibited and introduced by the Cultural attaché of Russia in China. Her paintings were heralded as the best of Russia and Angelica signed a long term contract with Chinese gallery for several annual solo shows.
